8:00 AM:  Park at 4th Street Bridge

Walk across the bridge to Centennial Park for a Cowboy Breakfast.

There will be three short informal talks between 7:30 and 9:00 in this area on the subjects listed below!

9:30 to 11:30 AM:  Train Ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad

The Historic 1914 Santa Fe Train Depot now houses the Royal Gorge Route Railroad


 

9:30 AM Historic Train Ride through the Royal Gorge (sorry not that train!)

 

 

 

This is the real train leaving Cañon City and heading into the gorge!

 

The hanging bridge was an amazing engineering feat that enabled the railroad to be constructed.

 

The Royal Gorge was used for movie making in the early 1900's.

 

Discover some of the famous visitors to the Royal Gorge such as Teddy Roosevelt!

Ready for Lunch at the Harvest Festival and a chance to see the Cañon City Abbey!
