Welcome Luncheon (12:00 to 1:30 PM) at the Queen Ann Tea House for Board Members of Colorado Preservation Incorporated.

 

Colorado Preservation Incorporated Annual Board Meeting from 1:30 to 5:00 PM.  at the Fremont County Administration Building

Note: This may be possibly moved to Cañon City Hall shown below.

 

 

 

 

Annual Member Meeting (5:00 to 6:00 PM) at Cañon City Hall – lower floor.   

A celebration of Colorado Preservation Incorporated accomplishments. All CPI members invited!

 

4:00 PM Doors Open at the State Armory Building for event registration, 110 Main Street

 

4:00 to 7:00  A celebration of community groups who support heritage tourism will take place! 

 

 

 

5:30 to 7:00 PM Registration for On the Road 2009 (inside the Armory)

6:30 to 8:00:  Food and Beverages for our 2009 participants.  (Thank you Pizza Madness!)

7:00 to 8:00:  On the Road 2009 Kick off and Welcome!

The National Guard Armory that was constructed about 1920 has been used for a number of local events over the years!


 

7:45 PM:  Participants will walk across the street into the park next to the memorial and learn about the early history of Old Max Prison!

and thereafter...:  Dr. Tom Noel, JoAnn Grenard, and Martha Starr will lead the always popular "pub crawl" through downtown Cañon City learning about some of our historic pubs and their relationship to some important historic events and time periods!

Dr. Tom Noel has published a book on historic pubs of Colorado!
